Micah Kelley, mother of our very own classmate, Colby Kelley, sponsored the Critter Keeper event yesterday for the entire third grade. The Critter Keeper introduced children to the amazing world of arthropods and reptiles! While the animals were the focal point, he also taught about geography, adaptations, word stems, math, history, and character throughout the presentation, with scares and magic to boot! The students were excited to meet the following critters: Julius Squeezer an Albino Burmese Python, Sloo a Bull Snake, Gladys a Crested Gecko, Brutella a Mexican Beaded Lizard, Buford a Cane Toad, Jabba the Hop a Giant African Bullfrog, along with a an iguana, a Giant Asian Centipede, two types of scorpions, and a tarantula. This was an unforgettable learning experience for all! If you sent it to school, I will be sure to get it to her! Thanks! Above you can find the agenda pages for the week. An additional copy of homework sheets can be found by clicking the links below: We are working on Math 4 Today Week 17 this week. We will complete the study guide together in class on Thursday, and our test will be on Friday as usual. We are also beginning our unit on Rocks & Minerals in science, which is Chapter 3. Students will have their Lesson 1 check next week after completing several in class activities related to the lesson.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please be sure to message me on Dojo or email me! I hope you all have a wonderful week!
