When we hatched chicks last time, Mrs. Amick (our speech teacher) told her Dad about our project. He raises and hatches chickens, so he sent a dozen eggs for us to hatch again. They are Frizzle and Ameracuana Bantum eggs (much smaller). The kids were excited to see the different type of eggs and curious about hatching them. The chicks were not "due" to hatch until tomorrow (Thursday), but during our test yesterday we began hearing some chirping. We went back to the incubator and found 2 baby chicks! This morning when I came in, there were 4 more...and another hatched during testing today. We are up to 7 chicks now! I still have the other eggs in the incubator in hopes that they come out on their "due date" tomorrow! I caught the one during testing on video! Hope you enjoy watching!
