Hello! Below is information regarding this week of instruction: The agenda photo above shows homework for both my class and Ms. Mitchell's. As always, you can click on the photo to download an additional copy of the homework sheets. Students in Ms. Mitchell's homeroom were Mock testing (writing) with her all day, so we did not switch classes as usual. Students copied all homework in their agenda during homeroom for both classes.
In Science, we are beginning a new chapter about ecosystems. I am returning the Chapter 4 science tests with graded papers today. We will introduce our new chapter throughout the week and also begin reading lesson 1 - "what are ecosystems": There is no graded work for science this week. In Math, we are working on Math 4 Today Week #28. We will complete the study guide on Thursday and our test will be on Friday. We are also working on finding the area of polygons. Brain Pop, Jr. has a great video to go along with this concept: https://jr.brainpop.com/math/measurement/area/ Please remember that tomorrow we have Awards Day beginning at 8:15 in the cafeteria. Limo to Lunch is Thursday and Thunderbash is Friday for those that participated in our last fundraiser. Students with fewer than 3 homework strikes for the 3rd 9 weeks will also receive an ice cream at lunch on Friday as part of our homework celebration. 3rd grade newsletter, dojo reports, and graded papers are being sent home today -- please sign them and return them tomorrow. Please let me know if you have any further questions or comments.
