Good morning! Attached you will find the third grade newsletter, Dream Worksheet, and Multiplication Log for the week. In Science, we will complete our study on habitats. We will have an assessment tomorrow - we reviewed and completed the study guide together in class today. I have also attached it for your convenience. After our assessment, we will begin our unit on Food Chains. We will learn about carnivores, herbivores, omnivores, producers, consumers, decomposers, predators, prey, etc. There are several Brain Pop Jr. clips and Study Jams that are helpful: (Login - Discus14; Password - Research) http://www.brainpopjr.com/science/animals/foodchain/preview.weml http://studyjams.scholastic.com/studyjams/jams/science/ecosystems/food-chains.htm http://www.brainpop.com/science/ecologyandbehavior/foodchains/ http://studyjams.scholastic.com/studyjams/jams/science/ecosystems/food-webs.htm There is also an AWESOME food chain game that I have listed under the Student Sites of our website. (www.3-burnette.weebly.com) In Math, we are working on Math 4 Today Week #27. We will have the assessment on Friday afternoon. We will also continue working in our small groups according to our weaknesses on MAP Testing if time allows. This week, students will be completed a set of Mock PASS Tests in each subject area. (Tuesday - Reading; Wednesday - Math; Thursday - Science; Friday - Social Studies) Please encourage your child to do their very best. Although this is only a "mock test", it is still very important and it will be an excellent review and test prep for the "real thing"! Dojo reports will be sent home along with graded test papers today. Please remember to sign them and return them tomorrow. Multiplication logs and DREAM worksheets are due Friday as usual. I encourage you to revisit the Eagle Cam site. The eaglet is growing and experts say that it is almost the size of "Dad" now, so they are predicting that the baby is a girl! I can't get over how fast it has grown! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! Have a blessed day!
