As you all know, we are currently learning about landforms and bodies of water in Science. The standards actually read that students should be able to ILLUSTRATE Earth's saltwater and freshwater features and ILLUSTRATE Earth's land features. I created an activity where the students had to pretend they were an illustrator in partnership with a popular non-fiction author. Their assignment was to submit their illustrations for each page, design a cover, and then they also had to create a signature and choose their best page for the website preview. (See assignment below) As we were working, they were a little frustrated with their signatures. They have been learning the fundamentals of cursive letter formation with Ms. Mitchell, but they are still fine tuning the art.
Hope you enjoy our pictures...they did such an awesome job!
