Today we discuss the physical adaptation of Camouflage. We also discussed the behavioral adaptation of Mimicry, since the two are often confused. Students were given a blank butterfly and were challenged to create the best camouflage for the butterfly’s habitat (our classroom). They had so much fun and I was amazed at their creativity! Hope you all enjoy the photos! We also read the attached article and answered the questions about “Camouflage Creatures”. I am attaching the butterfly template in the event your student want to do more creations at home!
I shared our work with Dr. Workman and he sent me a link to show the kids. This guy is an artist in Paris and uses camouflage as his artwork. So cool!
