The students wanted me to share the link to this live feed of a Bald Eagle nest at Berry College in Georgia so that they could view it from home. This goes right along with our Life Science Unit – Life cycles, habitats, food chains.
The first egg hatched on Saturday, Feb. 22nd. The parent eagles can be seen feeding and nurturing the young eaglet. A second egg remains in the nest, but experts say it is not likely to hatch. http://www.berry.edu/eaglecam/ The students were so excited to watch this today. They made the connection of our eggs in the incubator and said that they can’t wait to see how many of our eggs hatch! (Today is day 5 of 21!) When we were viewing the stream earlier today, we actually got to see the parent eagle feeding the eaglet! What an awesome experience!
