Students completed their Winter MAP testing before leaving for Winter Break in December. We have been working to analyze these scores and conference with the students. We finished the final component of our Winter MAP Data conferences today in class. I have updated all Winter scores in each student's agenda. In the front section of their agenda, you can find their Dream Card on pg. 15. This is where we record scores and set goals for each testing window. Please let me know if you have questions regarding your child's scores. **During our testing window, the labs experienced numerous technology issues and interuptions with the tests. Mrs. Brewton announced to the students that if their scores were affected by the numerous interuptions and complications with the test sessions, that she does not want them to worry or become discouraged if their scores did not improve. We feel that because of these problems, we did not gain a "true reading" of the students' performance. Please keep this in mind when you are reviewing your child's scores. Students have also updated their stars on the data boards in the hallway. We used the following Winter percentile conversions to categorize their stars as "Approaching", "Meeting", and "Exceeding": Approaching: 197 or less Meeting: 198 - 206 Exceeding: 207 or higher
Please enjoy the photos I snapped as I was walking around conferencing with the students while they completed their pyramids. They always put so much thought into their choices and can always justify their decisions when I ask them.
