Hello! I hope everyone is doing well. The homework for the week can be found on the agenda pages below. You can click on the photo to download additional copies of the homework sheets as well Please notice that students need to turn in $1 for Watershed by Wednesday and our Math 4 Today Test is moved from Friday to Thursday. We will complete the Math 4 Today Study Guide #16 in class on Wednesday and our test will be on Thursday since we have the Christmas program Friday morning and our class party Friday afternoon. We are working on the properties of multiplication this week in class. We will go over the following properties: zero, identity, commutative, associative, and distributive.
In Science, we are working on Chapter 3 Lesson 2 about types of soil. Our Watershed on Wednesday will also go along with this, and we will have some great hands on activities to help them understand the soil types. Brain Pop, Jr has a great video review that goes along with this lesson: https://jr.brainpop.com/science/land/soil/? Dojo reports, graded test papers, and 3rd grade newsletters are being sent home today. Please be sure to sign them and return them tomorrow. Hello! This week's homework assignments can be found on the agenda page below. Please remember that you can download an additional copy of the homework pages by clicking on the agenda page. You will notice on the agenda page that we are also requesting $1 from each student for the Watershed Ecology program. Please send this to school by December 13th so that your child can attend. Dojo reports and graded test papers are also being sent home today. Please be sure to sign the Dojo report and return it tomorrow! This week in Science, we are discussing rocks and minerals and will begin talking about soil later in the week. In Math, we are continuing to work on our multiplication facts and we are also discussing how to find the unknown in an equation and the properties of multiplication. We are working on Math 4 Today #15 this week. We will complete the study guide together on Thursday and our test will be on Friday.
If you have not already, please be sure to read it and allow your student to practice at home. We will soon begin timed multiplication tests in class and it is imperative that your child memorizes their facts up to 10x10.
