Good morning! I cannot believe that this is our last week before Christmas! Time has surely been flying! We have a lot going on this week, but I am confident it will be great! In Math, we have our first "Turner Timed Test" tomorrow. Students have been working very hard to prepare. Although many are still struggling to finish within the 5 minutes, they are continuing to grow and improve, so I know they will get it eventually! Our homework this week has word problems dealing with multiplication and the 12 days of Christmas. Since Friday is so "eventful", I will collect these on Thursday. We are working on Math 4 Today #17. We are going to move this assessment to Thursday, rather than Friday. The study sheet is attached below:
We will finish up with our rocks, minerals, and soils unit tomorrow and complete the study guide together in class. Students have had their vocabulary flash cards for several weeks now. Our assessment on rocks, minerals, and soils will be on Wednesday. The study sheet can be found below.
Our third grade newsletter can be found below for any additional information. Dojo reports and graded test papers should be signed and returned tomorrow. Please let me know if you have further questions or concerns.

Hello everyone!
Below is the third grade newsletter for the week. It is being sent home today with graded test papers and Dojo reports. Please sign these and return them tomorrow.
In Science this week, we are continuing with our study of rocks and minerals. We will also begin discussing types of soil along with it. The vocabulary words for this unit can be found at : https://quizlet.com/_1skd9x
We will continue with this unit and have our test NEXT Wednesday. Please remember that we do have Watershed this Friday, and all students will need to bring in $1 to attend.
In Math, we are still working on the 7s and the 8s. These are two of the hardest fact tables to learn, so we are spending a little extra time on these. Mrs. Turner will come around next Monday to administer their first official timed test. Please encourage them to study so that they are ready. For homework, students have their DREAM Sheet (please disregard the date on the one attached) and should make corrections to the Math 4 Today Test #15. Test corrections are due tomorrow and DREAM sheets will be collected Friday. Math 4 Today #16 study sheet is also attached below.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. I hope everyone has a great week!
